Blues Indigo is a jazz/blues duo featuring Mike Gwinn on guitar and vocals, and John White on alto sax, flute and bass. Both are members of the popular group The Northfork Flyers. Blues Indigo explores the intimate relationship between blues and jazz in a dynamic duo format featuring covers and originals. Material includes seminal blues by Jimmy Reed, Paul Butterfield, Robert Johnson and original compositions by Mike Gwinn.
This intimate evening of music takes place at a beautiful private home on Log Hill Mesa, and will include some commentary on the roots and structure of blues and jazz. Reservations for this event must be made in advance by calling OCPAG President Sue Hillhouse at 970/626-2970.
