November, 2009
Dear Supporter of the Performing Arts,
We come to you again this year to ask for your help in our continuing effort to bring artists of the highest caliber to our community. Your financial support, combined with the dedicated efforts of our volunteers, enable us to offer events by performing artists in a variety of genres from the acclaimed Trio Solisti to opera, dance, and the incomparable Max Levinson directing our annual San Juan Chamber MusicFest. Intimate salons and concerts, showcasing the wide variety of local talent, round out our offerings.
Less visible are the programs we bring to our schools and the scholarships we offer each year to talented local students as they begin their college careers in the performing arts. In addition, we have pledged to support the efforts of preserving the Wright Opera House for a future Arts Center .
We are very grateful for the generous backing we have received from our donors, local enterprises, and grants, which enabled us to organize the following events in 2009.

We appreciate and would like to acknowledge the generous support by grants and sponsors in 2009, which include a Marketing Grant from Region 10, the Exxon-Mobil Corporation, Citizens State Bank, Alpine Bank, Colorado Council for the Arts, Bridger Construction, the Massard Trust, and the Woman's Club of Ouray.
The current economic climate is of concern to most of us. We have planned the 2010 season with this in mind while maintaining the superior programming you have come to expect. Our calendar for 2010 will again showcase Trio Solisti and the San Juan Chamber MusicFest complete with the Max Levinson concerts, Master's Class, Lollipop Concert for the children and another delightful salon. Celtic performances, dance, jazz, opera and theatre productions are among the possibilities we are considering as we work to fill out the season's calendar.
Without your help the Ouray County Performing Arts Guild could not exist. Would you consider continuing your support for next year? The membership card is enclosed and can simply be mailed back to us along with your donation for 2010. If you prefer, you can use the secure on-line donation at www.ocpag.org . We also welcome and greatly appreciate your comments and recommendations.
Please be sure we have your current email address so that we can send out reminder notices and periodic newsletters about our activities.
With gratitude and best regards,

Sue Hillhouse, President Kelvin Kent , Vice President
PS - Please note that we ask for your suggestions for event ideas and for new membership on our Board of Directors. We also request your correct email address so that we may send reminders about a week before each event. |
